Update re: Family Reunion - July 18, 2026!Hello Everybody! The family Reunion is confirmed for July 18th at The Pioneers Building in Calgary. We have relatives coming all the way from New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Victoria and other locals throughout Canada and the USA. We are already up to 44 attendees and counting! • We will Start at 3:00 PM with Light Snacks & Beverages, Games / Activities TBD. • Dinner is at 6:00 PM – Cash Bar (credit/debit cards only) guests can bring their own bottled wine for dinner. Please let us know if there are any Food Allergies or Dietary Restrictions that we should be aware of. • Open Mic for Introduction and stories until 9:00 PM. We are trying our best to keep the cost down as we understand travel and hotels are expensive.
Without knowing the final numbers of family members attending, we have decided to set the price for the Reunion at $140.00 per person in order to confirm the Venue and Catering with a deposit.
Children under 3 free - Children under 9 @1/2 half price. The total cost will probably exceed this amount to cover Venue rent, Caterers’ rentals and Food. The Dragland Family Association has generously offered to cover some of the cost overruns! If others would like to contribute a bit more as well, it would be much appreciated. For payment you can send a cheque to the DFA at 1206 - 1 Lomond Drive, Toronto, ON M8X 2Z3; but the easiest way to pay is via email transfer to admin@dragland.org. The funds will be automatically deposited to our DFA account at TD Canada Trust. We have also secured a Group Hotel rate at the Best Western Plus Calgary Centre Inn for July 17, 18 & 19 for those who need it. $207.00/night down from $260.00, with a minimum booking of 10 rooms, under the name "Dragland Family Association". Make your reservation ASAP with a preauthorization and confirm your reservation at least 1 month prior to stay/date of Friday July 17th. We have already confirmed 7 rooms. Please confirm your attendance by April 30th, email to dean@dragland.org. We will keep you updated with any relevant details over the next couple of months. We would love to hear back from you with any ideas on activities that we could include during the Reunion. Please let me know any feedback or thoughts. Hope you can make it!!
